Kylie Jenner revealed in January that she and Travis Scott had decided to name their son Aire after ditching his original moniker last year.
And now the former couple is requesting that the one-year-old’s name be legally changed from Wolfe Jacques Webster to Aire Webster, according to TMZ.
The outlet reports that both Kylie, 25, and Travis, 30, agree with the name change and have both signed the petition.
In the legal documents, the duo explained that they ‘regret the original name choice of Wolf Jacques Webster’ and that Aire is a ‘better’ fit for their baby.
“Now that petitioners have had the opportunity to spend time with their baby, they believe the name Aire Webster is a better fit.”
Born on February 2, 2022, Aire is Kylie and Travis’ second child.
The exes also share five-year-old daughter Stormi Webster.
Kylie and Travis’ on/off romance started in 2017 after crossing paths at the Coachella Valley Music Festival, where the rapper was performing.
Less than a year later, they welcomed daughter Stormi on February 1, 2018.
They only separated in October 2019, but remained committed to co-parenting Stormi.
Kylie later referred to the hitmaker as her ‘best friend’ in a 2020 Harper’s Bazaar interview.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder also revealed that their mutual love for their daughter inspires them to stay ‘connected and coordinated’.
Since her own parents split in 2015, Kylie said she often uses mum Kris and dad Caitlyn’s friendly co-parenting relationship as an example.
‘They were very hands-on with me and I want the same for Stormi.’
It was reported at the time that Kylie and Travis had joint custody of their little girl.
The couple resumed their romance in May 2021 after reconnecting during the COVID-19 lockdown.
They were rumored to actually be reuniting in 2020, but Kylie’s nephew Mason Disick shut down the speculation during an Instagram Live that year.
In September 2021, Kylie revealed that she and Travis were expecting their second child together.
She did so by sharing a video revealing her burgeoning baby bump, as well as footage of the moment they found out she was pregnant.
Kylie also took fans to her first ultrasound appointment and gave them a glimpse of the baby.
She began documenting her bump’s growth on Instagram, which was a stark contrast to her very private pregnancy with Stormi.
But her baby news was overshadowed by the tragedy that occurred in November 2021 during Travis’ Astroworld Festival in Texas, where a massive crowd surge claimed the lives of 10 concertgoers.
From then on, Kylie kept a low profile on social media, including a seven-week Instagram hiatus.
But on February 6, 2022, Kylie used the app to confirm that she had given birth to a baby boy.
She captioned the post with his date of birth, ‘2/2/22’ preceded by the blue heart to indicate the gender of her second child.
It was accompanied by a sweet black and white photo of her new son’s tiny hand.
It appeared to show Stormi’s hand gripping the tiny baby’s wrist as he clenched his tiny fingers into a fist.
Days later, Kylie announced that they had named their newborn Wolf.
But just over a month later, she shocked fans by revealing they had decided to scrap the name.
“FYI, our (son’s) name is not Wolf anymore,” the Los Angeles-born makeup mogul wrote. ‘We just didn’t feel it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.’
As the months went by, Kylie and Travis failed to reveal a replacement name and there were reports that they were having ‘trouble’ picking just the right one.
They also kept their child’s face hidden on social media.
But in the Season 2 finale of The Kardashians, which aired in November, Kylie stated that her son’s name was still Wolf.
‘My baby’s name is still Wolf. I’ll let you know when I change it. Maybe I’ll tell you in season 3, Kylie said during a confessional as the episode ended.
In December, Kylie and Travis called it quits for the second time following allegations that he cheated on her with an Instagram model.
The Astroworld star vehemently denied the alleged affair and claimed not to know the woman.
In January 2023, the Kylie Baby founder revealed their son’s face for the first time, as well as his new name.
Kylie uploaded a series of photos on Instagram and wrote the simple caption, ‘Aire’, to announce her son’s new name to her 378 million fans and followers.
Although she is a doting mother to both her children, she recently told Vanity Fair Italy that she struggled with postpartum depression during both pregnancies.
She said his first battle with the condition was ‘very difficult’ but her second battle was ‘more manageable’.
Kylie then offered advice to new mums going through the ‘painful’ experience.
‘I would tell those women not to overthink things and live all the emotions of that moment to the fullest. Stay in the moment, even if it hurts, she said.
‘I know, in those moments you think that it will never go away, that your body will never be the same as before, that you will never be the same.’
She continued: ‘It’s not true: the hormones, the emotions at that time are much, much stronger and bigger than you. My advice is to live through that transition without fear of the after effects.
‘The risk is also to miss out on all the most beautiful things about motherhood.’
Kylie recently showed off her enviable post-baby body at this weekend’s Vanity Fair Oscar Party, which she attended alongside big sister Kendall Jenner, 27.
She previously revealed that she gained 60 pounds during her second pregnancy, which she burned off by committing to a daily exercise regimen.
Kylie was dedicated to staying ‘healthy and patient’ as she worked to return to her pre-baby body rather than using extreme measures to lose the weight.
