Finnish startup raises €475,000 in pre-seed to modernize real estate industry

Helsinki-based proptech startup Komu Homes has secured €475,000 in a pre-seed round from angel investors. The startup allows tenants to live more easily through an app that provides all the services and information regarding their apartments. Komu Homes plans to use the capital raised from their pre-launch funding round to launch a new product that will provide additional value to its customers.

In addition, it plans to expand its reach both domestically and internationally. They will do more research on the state of the real estate industry in Europe to guide their future expansion plans as they aim to enter the European market. Ultimately, their long-term goal is to establish themselves as a major player in the global real estate industry.

Komu Homes is an all-in-one service that provides a world-class tenant experience solution. All apartment-related services are easily accessible through a modern, easy-to-use Komu Homes app.

Founded in 2021 by Roni Lahti and Elias Örmä, Komu Homes’ mission is to modernize the processes in the real estate industry. It aims to eliminate hassles between the tenant and the property manager and streamline the process to be significantly more efficient. Its services help property managers invest in the tenant experience and build better relationships with long-term residents.

“The Komu Homes app is designed to listen to the customer’s needs because we know that a pleasant tenant experience is one of the most important factors in creating a long-term tenant relationship.”

The app can be used to book community spaces, get relevant information, pay rent and get in touch with the right people.

Today Komu operates in over 70,000 apartments, has over 25 satisfied customers and reaches thousands of people every month. The team has grown to 10 people and they are fortunate to continue working towards the goal with the talented team.
